Jazz: The Jazz Dance is seen often in musical theatre, commercial dance and MTV videos. Jazz can vary in style, musicality and era and at bdd we endeavor to explore all the different styles.
Classical Ballet: Ballet is incredibly important in developing and complimenting a dancer’s technique, strength and flexibility. At bdd we feel it is significant for the dancer to work with their unique facility and optimize their natural ability.
Contemporary Dance is a British term for dance similar to the American modern dance style. Contemporary dance means dance of the moment and is a huge umbrella statement for numerous styles of creative dance theatre. Within contemporary there are various techniques that have progressed from and in reaction to classical ballet. Contemporary often uses a diverse dance language and will always challenge the dancer away from their natural movement patterns.
Singing: Essential for a dancer in musical theatre. The class will be group based starting with a technique warm up and then experimenting with different songs and styles.

Acting: Working from a play/scene the bdd company is cast, directed and encouraged by a professional actor/director.
Tap: For rhythm, creativity and percussion all with your feet.
Music / Songwriting: Working with new instruments your ideas and words the bbd company creates atmospheric soundscapes and cheeky songs that accompany our end of week performance.
Physical Theatre: Use your own creativity to produce an innovative dance piece that uses natural movement to create dance theatre.
Hip Hop: Gets the body grounded with fresh steps and music full of beats, isolations and fast moves.
Musical Theatre: Workshops with those actually performing now!
